Purpose of meeting: Gather to write individual letters to various members of the City expressing our opinions regarding SE Clinton.

This will be in the spirit of Ted's postcard campaign. We will each hand write (or type on laptops) letters of 1-2 paragraphs or so. I'll be bringing lined paper, pens, envelopes and stamps.

The first half of the meeting will be us writing letters. During the second half we can discuss new ideas and follow-up actions.

The last friday of every month for over 10 years now, the Shift community has been providing free pastries and coffee (and sometimes, bacon, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, fruit, etc) to bike commuters.  We gather every month on the Steel (esplanade east side), Hawthorne (westbound off ramp), and Burnside (east end, westbound).  Join us during your commute for companionship and a little nutrition and a lot of good times.

Come to a neighborhood tree planting and join one of our bike planting crews!  Meet your neighbors, get some exercise, and beautify Portland & Vancouver neighborhoods all at the same time. Let us know what role works best for you: tree planter, tool carrier, tree chauffeur, or some combination of the three. Bicycling crews transport all of the trees, tools and people to various homes in the neighborhood to plant trees that will ultimately absorb CO2 and mitigate stormwater runoff—as well as a host of intangible benefits.
